I have worked over 30 years in the hospitality industry. My passion has always been quality food production for the aged and homeless, working many years for The Brotherhood of St Laurence in Melbourne. The challenge is always to make tasty, presentable and nutritious meals from limited ingredients and budget. Keeping in mind each individuals ability to easily consume the food and dietary requirements.

I also have experience in Product Development using my baking and flavour skills to produce high protein products for the fitness industry.

As a child I visited Melbourne from my home in Warrnambool, in country Victoria. There was a man asleep under a bush in a churchyard. My mum had to explain that he was without a home – homeless! 

To this day, l find it difficult to fathom that this can occur in our country, or any other, with the amount of wealth and knowledge we have in the world. To me it is polarising and l find it hard to walk away and not think how l can improve their situation. 

I have been catering for the homeless and aged for most of my career. Combined with my experience in food technology, I believe our products can contribute to help those in NEED.”
